Getting started
How do I start a photoshoot?
Open OnShoot in your Shopify admin, pick a product and tick the photos to work from, choose a model and a place, and press Generate. The photoshoot runs in the background.
Which product photos work best?
A clear, front-facing photo of the whole garment on a plain background, at least 512 px on both sides. Add more angles for details like the back or the sleeves.
Photoshoots
How long does a photoshoot take?
About two minutes for most photoshoots, and around three for twelve photos. It runs in the background, so you can leave the page and come back.
Why didn't a photo come out?
The AI turns some photos down, most often because of the product photo it was given: too small, cropped, or with more than the garment in it. The credits come back either way.
Can I shoot the same product on another model?
Yes. Regenerate starts a new photoshoot with the same product and photos, and you can choose another model or place before you generate.
Credits & billing
How do credits work?
Ten credits make one photo. Your plan grants its credits at the start of each billing period, and every photo that doesn't come out is refunded automatically. Plan & usage shows where each credit went.
How do I get more credits?
Choose a bigger plan from Plan & usage. An upgrade adds the new plan's extra credits straight away, and a downgrade starts when your current period ends.
Models & places
Can I use my own place?
Yes. Describe it in a sentence, or upload a photo of your shop, studio or wall, at least 512 px on both sides. The model is photographed there, in its light.
Adding to products
What does adding photos to a product change?
Only its media. Add puts the photos after the product's current media. Replace takes the current media off first, and those files stay in your store's Files.
Can I take photos off a product?
Yes, from the product's page in your Shopify admin. Deleting a photo in OnShoot doesn't remove it from the product.
Your data
Who can see my photos?
Only you, until you add them to a product. They're kept in OnShoot's private storage, behind links that expire.
What happens to my data if I uninstall?
It stays for 48 hours in case you come back. After that, Shopify asks us to erase your store's data, and we do.
Nothing matches that yet. Try another word, or write to support@onshoot.app and a person will reply.
Still stuck? Talk to a person.
Open a support ticket.
In OnShoot, open Support and choose Open a ticket. We reply by email, and the whole conversation stays in the app.
Open OnShootTell us your store's name so we can find your account. A person reads every message.
